When you start to think about your Christmas tree it can be an emotional journey. Every person has a type and its so important that you find the right tree for you and your family. Not only that but where your tree comes from and who is the person selling it to you. All of this plays a part in the experience!
As the founder of Fir Christmas Trees what I found was the it was hard to find great quality trees and often a challenge to find someone who really cared about what tree they were selling you. I always felt like they were simply looking for a quick sale and then off with you it was. It just didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. At the end of the day Christmas trees are not cheap by rights they should come with a high level of service as a relatively highly priced purchase.
This is why I started Fir. I wanted to bring not only the very best trees to families and businesses across Co. Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow but also truly exceptional service. When I say exceptional I truly mean it! I’m a sticker for the details.
When Fir Christmas Trees was born, nearly 10 years ago now I focused on three factors – delivery, installation and removal. This became the bedrock of the company. From there we introduced elements such as enabling customers to choose the shape of their tree – narrow / traditional / wide. I also started added more and more high quality additional products like natural wreaths and garlands, luxury Christmas crackers and so on.
Something that was personally very important to me was that if customers ever had a problem that they knew I would take care of them and not just fob them off and say, good luck! But show that I genuinely cared about them and their experience. Adopting this mindset has, I believe, given Fir that edge whereby now we are the leading service in the country. Yahoo! So proud of that.
